Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Associate Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, MI. As a member of the operations team in in Warren, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.

Responsibilities
    Safely operate and maintain interiors test stands and related equipment in compliance with company policies and safety requirements
  • Oversee multiple projects in the interiors laboratory and responsible for day-to-day, including scheduling, updating client, and coordinating or reporting activities with supervisor or other team members
  • Interpret and work to several OEM test specifications, SAE and ASTM standards
  • Use of various data acquisition equipment
  • Use of hand tools and power tools required
  • Review test data (OEM and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers)
  • Work closely with other engineers/technicians
  • Self starter willing to put extra hours, as needed, willing to work in weekends as needed
Skills / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in automotive/testing field preferred Interiors testing experience highly preferred
  • Interpreting testing procedures and requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Must have valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
