Job Summary:

This position will shape and drive the overall creative direction for La-Z-Boy retail store environments, ensuring alignment with the brand's values, objectives, and target audience with support from the Retail Merchandising Leadership. This role will own the brand's retail vision to create engaging and productive spaces that drive greater conversion in-store and increases brand loyalty. This role will work cross functionally to map out a product selection and communication strategy that supports the financial and strategic goals for the division.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
  • Assist with development and evolution of the retail channel's visual identity, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presence across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Merchandising Leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business goals into creative strategies that resonate with our audience.
  • Lead the conceptualization and work with peers to execute innovative and trendsetting product stories that elevate the brand and drive consumer demand to growth the business.
  • Integrate emerging trends into creative strategies to keep the brand relevant in the industry.
  • Oversee Retail Lab environment at the Corporate Headquarters
  • Create and manage a process in collaboration with Retail Merchandising team, that maps the creative vision with the buy strategy.
  • Partner with Visual Field Manager and Visual Planning Manager on execution

SCOPE & IMPACT:

Retail Division Dollar Volume $900 Million+ Sales Annually, Manages $60 Million+ Inventory, 180+ Retail Locations, New Store Openings and Remodels for Retail and Independents.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising with 6-8 years experience, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years leadership/supervisory experience
  • Extraordinary design taste and curiosity has a strong sense of style, culture, art, design, fashion, innovation, and technology.
  • Creative and passionate about interior design and has a keen eye for detail on how to bring ideas to life in big disruptive ways.
  • A passion for driving brand impact through innovative and creative presentation initiatives that drive the consumer demand and sales.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire.
  • Growth mindset with a curiosity about best-in-class work and what it takes to drive excellence.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing innovative, and impactful creative visual work that drives business and brand results.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous and dynamic environments, comfortable with risk and uncertainty.
