Description

Owens Corning is committed to driving increased customer value and business operational efficiencies through digitalizing and automating the management of our product information (PIM) in a systematic process to ensure data accuracy and consistency across our digital endpoints.

The Product Syndication Specialist is accountable for managing product data and content to ensure brand presence for Owens Corning Products. The role entails maintaining consistent quality of item information and syndication to customer websites, 3rd party websites, partner platforms and industry data repositories. Additionally, the individual will work with across our various business divisions to execute the ancillary needs of product data syndication in line with the core business initiatives.

This individual will coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Communications, packaging and IT to develop and maintain the centralized product information management system. This candidate will require significant experience working with e-commerce data systems and marketplaces understanding how to position products digitally online to drive growth and brand presence.

Reports to: E-Commerce Transformation and Operations Leader

Responsibilities

Service Our Customers - 50%

  • Regular interactions with customers building and maintaining relationships by delivering best in class service
  • Help manage Distribution customer data to achieve the business goals and increase sales
  • Assists in product launches on customer e-commerce platforms and emerging marketplace channels
  • Serve as a consultative voice in meetings and planning efforts to 'connect the dots' between customer and business challenges, needs and technology solutions
  • Electronic delivery of digital assets, marketing data, digital content, and product specifications to customers
  • Partner with OC customers to maximize our investment to drive online SKU optimization conversion
  • Execute all miscellaneous e-commerce customer channel requests and special projects
  • Assist in status update calls with distribution, marketplace customers and other e-commerce customers

Product Lifecycle Management - 25%

  • Complete audits of the company's product listings and competitor items on e-commerce sites utilizing retail Brand Advocates and syndication platform insights reporting metrics
  • Work with Marketing teams to ensure the timely creation of any required content necessary
  • Utilizing syndication platforms to execute SKU setup and maintenance to customer portals and websites

Innovate, Ideate, Collaborate- 25%

  • Ideate new ways to improve PIM and adjacent system capabilities
  • Keep track of action items, project deadlines, next steps, and success metrics
  • Streamline current workflows to unlock efficiencies product data management and syndication workflows
  • Work cross functionally across the business aligning key internal and external stakeholders
  • Quickly and positively respond to operational issues within the business to expedite the resolution
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate techniques into OC digital commerce strategies

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or related experience with an emphasis on digital preferred
  • Min 3-year experience working in product data management systems and e-Commerce field
  • Experience with Salsify Syndication platform preferred
  • Experience working with retail customers and Vendor/Seller Central systems is a plus
  • Fast learner, highly organized, date driven, motivated, constructive team member
  • Experience in B2C and B2B e-commerce content distribution/syndication, online advertising, social marketing, content development and analytics
  • Some travel required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses a high comfort level in working with the content management systems and site features
  • Very strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal, with ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, poised, resourceful, enthusiastic
  • Significant experience with spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High level of interpersonal skills to communicate with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of customer web/PIM systems for file delivery and maintenance
  • System Experience: Jira, Stibo, Salsify, Seller Central and SAP is preferred but not required
