An Aviation lab assistant is responsible for assisting the Instructors.
Responsibilities
Assist the Aviation Team in the shop environment only
Provide technical knowledge to students in completing shop projects
Aid the student in accomplishing hands on type projects to gain required motor skills
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma/GED
A & P liscense required
Experience
Prior experience in related field preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to assist students of various ages and diverse backgrounds
Able to work productively and communicate effectively with students and new employees
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to deal responsibly with confidential information
Must be personable, energetic and have a customer service orientation
Must be a self-motivator
Must be able to work alone or with a team
Performance Standards
Proper monitoring of all equipment, supplies and tools to ensure the safety of the students
Two reviews will be done per course
Bi-Annual review will be done by Director of Education
Working Conditions
Majority of time spent in education environment
Work will consist of an 8-hour day
Appropriate safety measures must be followed
Exposure to chemicals that are standard to industry
