Description

Job Duties:

  • Operate industrial laser machines to engrave various materials with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain and clean laser machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor engraving quality and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Manage and replenish engraving supplies.
  • Document laser machine usage and maintenance activities.
  • Receive and sort daily orders from GEODIS and 3PL partners.
  • Review and interpret production schedules, work orders, and customer orders.
  • Organize and prioritize workload based on deadlines and priorities.
  • Prepare and assemble materials for laser engraving.
  • Coordinate with laser technicians to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track material usage.
  • Pack and ship finished products according to GEODIS specifications.
  • Manage warehouse space and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Train new employees on production processes and laser machine operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial machinery or laser equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate weight objects.

Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work with hands and fingers, stand, walk, talk and hear. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, ambient lighting and extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities are required for this job. Employee may occasionally work in both an office and warehouse setting, need to kneel or crouch, may be exposed to atmospheric conditions and noise and may need to wear gloves. Employee can be required to crawl, climb, balance or sit and wear safety gloves and/or ear protection.
