The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to the patient by systematically applying specialized knowledge and skill as derived from the biological, physical, and behavioral sciences, to the care, treatment, counsel and education of patients with full implementation of the five phases of the nursing process and professional standards of care. The VIP RN will use critical thinking, independent judgment and collaborative skills to successfully assist patient throughput from admission to discharge and supervise patients under the RN scope of practice when escorting patients to diagnostic sites.
