Job Description

NGS CoreSource, Michigan's leading third party health claims administrator, is seeking a Client Manager to develop, enhance and coordinate all aspects of client management to assure continued customer satisfaction. We are seeking an outgoing, positive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced client focused environment, and possesses exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills. This position is generally the primary contact for clients, and as such, will operate as a subject matter expert on a number of topics. Because of the high level of client, vendor and inter-departmental interaction, the ideal candidate will have an inherent service orientation. Problem solving, flexibility and attention to detail are essential as well. This position requires a person with diplomacy, tact and an inquisitive nature so that issues are recognized, researched and resolved appropriately.

Essential Functions

  • Diligently work to develop/enhance client relationships to ensure continued satisfaction and retention
  • Timely, accurately and appropriately communicate client needs/wants to internal departments and vendors regarding newly sold products, plan changes, terminations, etc.
  • Upselling of ancillary products after initial sale
  • Problem solving/issue resolution as necessary
  • Consistent, timely, face-to-face client contact.

Required Skills

  • Problem solving skills, reading ability, creative decision making, mathematical ability and time management skills

Required Experience

  • At minimum, 5 years of work experience with a TPA, medical insurance company, benefits agency, benefits vendor or in a Human Resources Department is required.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of benefit-related federal laws is required (i.e., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ARRA, etc.)
  • A valid driver's license is required as this position requires travel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • An inherent customer service orientation is critical in this position, as is a superior work ethic which includes good attendance, self-motivation and group facilitation skills.
