Position Summary:
Applicants MUST have food process design and project management experience. Two years minimum experience as Project Manager with a proven track record. Operations experience in the food processing industry is a bonus. Candidate should have familiarity with food processing equipment, material handling throughout the process, sanitary design for processes and GMP facilities, utility systems, and field support for all phases of project execution (scoping to commissioning). The candidate should have good communication skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project engineering and management.
  • Process engineering.
  • Business development including proposal preparation and presentation.
  • Estimate and schedule manhour and design costs.
  • Ensure all assignments meet ISO system compliance.
  • Execute projects efficiently with regard to scope, schedule and budget.
  • Work closely with client personnel on a regular basis for project definition, development, estimating and local project support.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering preferred or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 8+ years experience preferred. Registration, including CAPM or PMP Certification, preferred.PMP certification will be required for Sr. PM level candidates within 2 years of date of hireOSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong familiarity with food processing equipment and material handling through-out the process.
  • Knowledge of sanitary design for processes and GMP facilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant environmental systems, utility systems and field support for all phases of project execution (scoping to commissioning).
  • Must be able to work well in groups across multiple offices including off-shore resources.
  • Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be a self-starter committed to the delivery of quality products and building long term profitable relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively manage the financial aspects of a project.
  • Travel is Required.
