We are currently seeking a Contract Administrator to work within the Finance department supporting the goals and objectives of the Payer Decision Support business unit by personally managing several groups of agreements and projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the creation, implementation, completion, and negotiation of such agreements and ensuring that all groups affected by the agreements are involved in the process, as appropriate. This position will be located in Ann Arbor, MI. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to:
* Personally negotiating legal terms, as well as describing business and pricing terms (with the assistance of product management, sales and/or finance), in standard form licensing, teaming, nondisclosure and other commercial agreements;
* Reviewing new contracts and addendums for completion of terms, dates, grammar, spelling, accurate math, correct formatting, etc. and ensuring contracts have been reviewed and approved at the appropriate level;
* Tracking key corporate contractual requirements, transmitting notices of those requirements, and coordinating corporate contractual compliance audits;
* Compiling reports and assisting team with report development and data analysis as well as timely responding to all requests, including IP permissions, archival permissions, requests to use third party content by CDS, litigation requests and other projects as needed;
* Training sales people on contracting procedures, and business stakeholders on permission procedures;
* Preparing bi-weekly customer and permission report to Counsel; and
* Other duties as assigned including filing, copying, and scanning documents as necessary. Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
* A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or business-related fields such as administration, management, finance, accounting, or pre-law; at least 2 years of relevant work experience; candidates with experience working with federal contracts or possessing a paralegal certificate or NCMA certification, preferred;
* Experience in managing US General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Contracts; and healthcare contracting including HIPAA, preferred;
* Excellent writing skills, including editorial, communication and drafting, with strong attention to detail;
* Excellent oral communication skills, with aptitude/personality to enable effective negotiations with all levels of customer representatives and internal stakeholders;
* Demonstrated flexibility and teamwork skills;
* Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize; multi-task; and work with competing deadlines and the desire and ability to accept increasing responsibilities;
* Strong customer service skills; including conflict resolution, problem solving, and strong customer inactive listening skills;
* Self-motivated with excellent follow-up skills;
* Strong PC skills needed (especially in using Tracked Changes in MS Word) including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and
* Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume/tight deadline environment, with shifting priorities.
