Position Description
Install and maintain the electrical systems of the plant to provide power for machinery, lighting, facilities, and such other equipment as may be required for the plant operation.
Apply knowledge of AC/DC circuits and systems, motor control theory and design, basic fluid power, electrical control devices, and electrical test equipment to diagnose, isolate and effect installation, repair, replacement, or modification of the plant electrical systems.
Read, understand, create, and apply electrical schematics in various applications, including design and construction of electrical control panels.
Access, troubleshoot, and upload/download programmable logic controllers (PLC) for all versions used in the facility.
Create and develop new PLC programs or perform revisions to existing PLC programs. Perform advanced diagnostics, make necessary changes to PLC ladder programs and create or change loop functions and special functions in PLC programs.
Work from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drawings and engineering specifications to install new equipment or maintain existing equipment.
Install, set up, and program Operator Interfaces, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Servo Drive Systems used within the facility.
